Step by step instructions to follow to prepare mouth-slacking Tikka Masala sauce at home!!

Preparing vegan tikka masala is not as challenging as it sounds if you follow this simple recipe below provided by Tikka's N' Curry's.

  • Step 1: Heat oil

First, take a pan and pour oil to heat it in medium-high flame.

  • Step 2: Add ginger and garlic paste

Now add ginger and garlic paste to the oil and stir it for about 30 to 40 seconds.

  • Step 3: Add spices

In this step you need to add ground spices, sugar, ground almonds, and coconut.

Make sure to be careful in this process so that the ground spices do not get burned as they will become dry quickly.

  • Step 4: Add tomato puree

To make the tikka masala paste, you need to add the tomato puree followed by a splash of base sauce.

  • Step 5: Stir until it becomes caramelized

You need to stir the tomato puree properly so it does not get burned and when the sauce begins to simmer, wait a few more seconds to make it caramelized.

  • Step 6: Add other ingredients

In this step, you need to add other ingredients of your choice in the tikka masala sauce.

This may include chicken, beef, lamb, paneer, or veggies that you prefer. In case you choose to make paneer tikka masala sauce, remember not to fry the paneer as it would become hard to chew.

  • Step 7: Garnish it

Before serving the dish you need to add the cream. After that add some fresh coriander, followed by butter, garam masala, and lemon juice.

Also, garnish the tikka masala by adding dried fenugreek. Just make sure to rub it finely between your fingers and add salt as per your taste.

Store it and enjoy it for the rest of the week !!

The best part about this tikka masala recipe is that you can store it and enjoy it with your loved ones for the rest of the week. Just make sure to use an air-tight container or jar and refrigerate the sauce for at least five to six days.

In case you are not comfortable with storing the tikka sauce in the freezer, then you can freeze the ingredients in individual portions as well.
